Overview
About Me
It felt so nice to be back to CS after COVID and I can't wait to meet more people!
It's not easy to find words to describe myself since I'm the person who is obsessed with a lot of stuff. Personally, I enjoy all kinds of challenges and adventures, and would love to meet people who share the same interests along the way! As a big fan of Yes Theory (a youtube channel if you haven't heard of them :)), I seek discomfort and would love to hang out with local people when visiting a place!
I love nature, and used to hike with friends every week when I was living in Canada. People and nature are two of the most important things that I value the most in life. I also do a bit photography, just to record the moments of my life and share with people who care :) Regarding the work, I'm obsessed with technology and would spend time building electronic projects and going to hackathons and tech conferences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Strangers are just friends you have met yet, aren't they?
Travel is about meeting people and getting to know the world we are living in. Inspired by Yes Theory, I'd like to do more spontaneous trips and see where the world takes me to. I've been trying to say YES more often and let it break my routine to refresh myself with new ideas and to be vulnerable when it scares me.
Certainly I can't live a thousand times, but getting to know people's life from all over the world can! I love exchanging stories with people, and feel inspired by their achievements and dreams. Getting to know lives from a different place with a different background also broaden each other's minds!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I used CouchSurfing in Scandinavia, UK, Ireland, and the entire experiences was awesome! Strangers are just friends you haven't met, isn't it? I even kept in tough with some hosts as well as surfers, and it feels amazing that you find people who shared same interests and how our lifes crossed.
I like to meet with local people and spend time together, have fun, chill, cook, and laugh. Remember that those are the best memories of my life pre-COVID when I travelled to Europe, and I made some good friends whom I still keep in tough with. Since the covid is over, it's time to go out of my bubble and meet amazing folks!
Although I haven't had the chance to host surfers myself because I've been moving around and living in a small room with a few flatmates, I'd very much love too once I have the chance. However, if you ever visit my city, I'd like to show you around and be a local guide!
Importantly, everytime I introduce Couchsurfing to people, I'd emphasize that it is NOT meant to be a free hotel! It's about meeting people and learning more about the culture. As a surfer, I'd usually bring some gifts if possible as an appreciation :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Looking back, moving by myself from China to Canada, and then to UK was the craziest thing I've every done and I'm glad about my decisions :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: coding.... (sure if you want to learn) would be happy to share my limited knowledge on various subjects. interesting, and challenging // Random facts on tech area
Share: I have lived in United Kingdom, Canada, United Stated, and China, so I'd be the to go person if you are intersted in knowing more about the life there :)
I've been trying to pick up photography and filmmaking recently. I'm a tech and nature enthusiast with a passion for learning anything and everything. I'm always open to try new things, keep exploring this beautiful world, and meet people who share the same passions
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd always bring some gifts, such as souvenirs from previous trips, or local food and shirts :) Also, just chatting about life and learning what life can be in a different place is interesting
