About Me

*** IF YOU SEND ME A COPY/PASTE REQUEST, I WILL DECLINE IT ON PRINCIPLE!***
***IF YOUR REQUEST IS NOT PERSONAL, DO NOT BOTHER.***

CURRENT MISSION

Live my life with as few regrets as possible

ABOUT ME

I've been called "scary", "giving off bad energy", and many times "cold" - direct quotes from people who surfed (or wanted to) at my place. So, if you're faint-hearted, you might want to stay away. I enjoy helping people who appreciate (or at least act as if they appreciate) what I do.
If I'm home I most likely WILL host you, but only if you actually tell me a good reason to meet YOU. Copy/paste requests I am not a fan of.

PHILOSOPHY

If you want to know, ask. If you want to tell me, don't wait for me to ask - just tell me. If you want to do something (that will not hurt others or get you in jail), do it - in the end you'll only regret what you had a chance to do and didn't. And never argue with idiots - nobody can tell the difference.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Music, Movies, and Books

One of the best books I've read is "Mistakes were made (but not by me)".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing and experiencing, and having the privilege to be a part of my son growing up, every day - It doesn't get much more amazing than that. Riding in the front seat of a helicopter is pretty cool. Experiencing true love, fleeting as it may be, is literally breathtaking. Being a part of a huge international singing competition. Feeling more at home in a foreign country than I ever did in my own. Being left by your true love - you can find out what you're really made of. Having almost been run over by 18-wheeler. Going back to your childhood home (and country) after having been away for a decade. Running for the first time after breaking your hip. Having my life saved by my five year old son. After I thanked him, he said "It's ok, Baba". How amazing is that..
