About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To open my mind and spirit to the world/other cultures, learn many languages and to gain a better understading of ppl ALL over the world and hopefully spread the knowledge and wisdom I gain on to othr open minded ppl and to share our experiences!

ABOUT ME

Hmm...I am pursuing my DVM and hope to practice on big cats and work on the tiger reserves in India and Africa one day!! I am interested in SO many things and ppl. I LOVE to travel and cannot-I repeat- CANNOT wait to travel all over the world and meet friends that will last forever. I love learning about different cultures and languages and want to immerse myself in the culture for whatever part of the world I happen to be in. I also love to volunteer and help out wherever I can. Ive traveled and volunteered b4 and there is nothing more rewarding!!! I love good convo, Science is my main area of interest (Im a Bio major), however we can talk abt politics, love, life, spirituality...ANYTHING :-) Also, I have a very sarcastic sense of humor and crack myself up daily with the stupid shit ppl do..thats just me! Anothr thing is I can be very shy and socially awkward (not on purpose I garantee..) at first or if u dont know me well but I really am interested to get to know ppl on a deep level it sometimes may take me a while to really open up and be my fun loving self.

PHILOSOPHY

Ive never really thought abt this..I just want to better my self and be a good person, help those less fortunate, especially animals (I love animals!!), live life to the fullest, have fun, and leave my mark on mankind and the lives Ive touched when I'm gone..hmm thats all I got for now, Ill think more pensively abt it and update it at some point.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well I'd love to host but I live with my family and my mother would NOT allow that lol..When I get my own apartment, I will gladly host! I plan on traveling the world and gaining a better understanding/depth of ppl from various cultures and learn abt the struggles some of them may face daily and hopefully I can help improve their situation somehow and spread awareness, fund raise, etc..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have none yet..but hopefully will soon enough! Also, I do NOT smoke, and am not very interested in staying with anyone who smokes in their home. Thank you!

Interests

Science, art, life, learning, loving, helping, movies, traveling(of course!),meeting new ppl, making great, life-long friends (honestly I can be kind of an intense friend- I have standards I set for best friends and Id give nothing less-EVER), ppl who r funny(particularly sarcasm or anything witty enough to make me laugh lol). I love nature and being outdoors, I'd really LOVE to go skydiving!! and I like hiking, camping, and exploring in general, I love to swim and really want to go scuba diving someday also!

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE good movies...good dramas the most, witty comedies, documentaries, foreign films are always great!!! Books, I dont really have much patience for reading books honestly. Ill walk past so many books on display at libraries or in school and think "Damn, that seems like a really good book.." but I know I wont read it. I WOULD however listen to the audio tapes of books if they were available. The last book I read (yes thoroughly) was the Kite Runner- awesome book, I cried.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered in Costa Rica through CASE (Central American Service Expeditions) and we built beds for children who ddnt have any and were sleeping on the ground in unsanitary conditions that no child should have to go through. Now that's pretty fucking amazing. Seeing how happy they were to finally be able to sleep on a bed and not the cold hard dirt floor in their homes was incredible and brought tears to my eyes and still does when I think about it. Im just so happy for them.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll have to think about this one..not sure :-(
