About Me

to make the world a brighter and more colourful place. I take my love for colours everywhere with me - why just wear grey and black when the world is a rainbow? This I will continue in my work and help people find their rainbow when they only see the raining clouds in their life.

ABOUT ME

I am a sweets-loving,all-things-kawaii-adoring rainbow-coloured girl who thinks that the world desperately needs positivity which I'll help to spread!

My hobbies range from doing creative stuff like drawing, collecting kawaii things, cooking/baking healthy and sinful food to doing strength training and obstacle running.
I am a huge Japan-fan and love to travel and get to know new countries and cultures (and food!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I attended couchsurfing events in Berlin where I met really nice people with interesting stories, with whom I participated a great accoustic festivala and discovered South American icecream.

But my biggest experience was spending 6 weeks in Japan, only surfing on couches (well, once sleeping in a temple ^^) and getting to know the most interesting people! My Japanese was enough to talk about funny country comparisons but also policy and general lifestyle in Germany and Japan.

Once I lived with a family in a remote town in Saga prefecture where I met the whole family and left with tears in my eyes. That's the spirit of couchsurfing!

Interests

Learning japanese, cooking, meeting friends and sports! I also like anime and manga and at the same time traditional Japanese aesthetic and beauty.

My passion is Positive Psychology because in those times where all the news is pessimistic, focussing on your strengths and what you have in life, can still make you happy!

Music, Movies, and Books

- Ghibli-movies and many psycho anime
- Yazawa Ai
- I love psycho-horror movies but also interesting documentaries
- Haruki Murakami, Banana Yoshimoto
- Stephen King (Especially "it")
- Krieg und Frieden, Buddenbrooks, Woyzeck
- Music is hard.... from kawaii Japanese and Korean singers to Drum and Bass and Cat Stevens!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Until now climbing the Cerro Toco in Chile with its 5610m was the most amazing thing I did. I felt like standing on top of the world!
Canyoning and participating two times in the muddy obstacle run Xletix was also very memorable!

Another amazing experience is yet to come: I'll be participating in the exchange programme "Hello Japan 2018" by the German Japanese Youzh Society!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am learning Japanese and would really like to improve on that!
What I can teach and share is my knowledge on nutrition and strength trainig and also some basic skills in drawing Manga ^^

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I am well-educated in positive psychology and learning systemic coaching, I can share my knowledge and also try to help you with possible problems in your life! I don't offer real counselling but getting another perspective and being asked the right questions can help to see your problem from a different angle!

Also if there is anything my hosts want to have or know about Germany, I can gladly buy the stuff and share everything I know!

Countries I’ve Visited
