About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Nothing at the Moment

ABOUT ME

I'm rather new to traveling and so I think this site will definitely help out. It's definitely embodies the spirit of travelers worldwide, I love it! It'll definitely make planning my trip much easier.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe the following quote sums it up quite nicely. It's from a videogame (Metal Gear Solid):

Snake: Naomi, how long have I got? [to live]
Naomi: Does it really matter? Simply enjoy your life...and live! For that is the essence of existence.

In the game, the protagonist Snake has just found out that he's been infected with a virus that will kill him at some point in time. Of course, he's trying to save the world from a nuclear blast at the same time. In that context, I really like the reply he gets from Naomi. I even used this as my grad quote ^_^

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In return, if you EVER wish to come to Edmonton, I'd love to show you around :) I live by myself in a four bedroom house as my parents have moved away to Ontario. I don't have roommates...yet.

So for sure, you're welcome to drop by. And REGARDLESS, I'd love to show you around. I have a car and know the city very well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed in Paris for about two weeks, and had a great time. I was hosted by two different people and both were awesome! We also participated in some CS events like a photohunt and a night on the town, really great times and I miss the people I met already.

I couldn't recommend CouchSurfing enough!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Everything except country music :P My favorite artists at the moment are Daft Punk and anyone else related to Parisian electronica. I'll still listen to a load of other genres as well. Please see:

Movies - Not a dedicated movie fan, just a casual fan. I love it all!

Books - Not much of a reader...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I met Daft Punk in person, in Paris after their show (their manager invited me to the afterparty). That and the whole party itself would have to be it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I work as a bartender part-time, and have been for several years. While many people love to drink, they often don't know much about making proper drinks. I'm pretty sure that as a Couchsurfer, then, I'd be able to teach you a couple killer drinks :)

If you're not into drinking, I guess I'm a pharmacy student as well! Haha, though my knowledge isn't very deep yet.

Finally, I've developed a taste for cooking, I'm sure I could show you how to make some awesome dishes. I'm still rather new, but I know how to make bananas flambe and baked brie. The list is growing! :)
