About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the world, graduate with a decent CGPA and enjoying life! Main mission for now is to pass my internship, exams and earn money for more travels!

ABOUT ME

Quirky, bubbly with some odd tendencies to stay quiet when I read. I can get awkward with new people but I warm up fast. When I start to talk, I might not stop! It annoys people from time to time but Tohoshinki is a good opening topic. HAHAHA.

You could add me on Skype: mizahisham or say hi to me on Twitter @mijetspie

AFTER you've sent me a message here. I'd like to recognise the person I would be skyping later. Typing can get a bit tiring if you prefer to talk instead. ;)

PHILOSOPHY

Do things that I wouldn't want to regret not doing. I live my life to satisfy myself because I'm a curious person by nature. Probably this will bring me trouble, my silly curiosity - but I won't regret it for sure. There's a phrase in Malay language "Malu bertanya, sesat jalan" which we could easily be translated as Y'ALL BE MISSING IF Y'ALL STAY QUIET. I'm usually more coherent, I promise.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Joined because I plan on meeting new CSers and couching someday. I can't host but I'll try my best to be involved in hangouts :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nada. It's a thrilling experience but very scary. I want to solo travel someday!

I have been messaging fellow couchsurfers. Some of them are a nice bunch of people.

Interests

Reading, travelling, discovering new things and surf the internet!

I enjoy swimming in general, loves to watch tennis matches, MotoGP, F1, food channel! I love food and tea! I am not good at cooking but I'd love to learn.

At the moment I'm interning in PwC, an audit firm based in Kuala Lumpur and it's time consuming. I'm falling in and out of love. We could talk about the pains of being an auditor while we're at it. Lol.

Music, Movies, and Books

I do not have any preferences on TV shows since I watch practically everything. Currently hooked on Korean dramas and Game of Thrones.

Besides that, I am also a big fan of TVXQ and British Indie band. I'm a huge follower of korean/japanese dramas when I'm not busy with school

I love other forms of music too! I enjoy attending concerts and gigs. The emotion's electric when you're able to listen to live music. If you haven't been to any, you should!

Books... I don't have a preference but I do read a lot of fan fictions. List goes on forever. Favourite book's probably Paradise by Judith McNaught and Sundays at Tiffany's by James Patterson. Harry Potter is probably my most favourite. I indulge myself in autobiographies or history books whenever I'm bored.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Interning in one of the big firms in the world... the work is out of the world... *fried braincells*

16/2/14 : Great Ocean Road was the most amazing thing I've seen. Crazy beautiful!

Working as a part of the media team during MotoGP in Malaysia. Craziest thing I've done was going inside the riders pits and screaming on top of my lungs at the rooftop.

MEETING BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH DURING SEPANG F1 GRAND PRIX! So freaking exciting!

Teach, Learn, Share

-I'm a terrible cook but I could show you some stuff from the Malay cookbook. I'm trying to eat healthy by cooking healthy food. (HEALTH AWARENESS EVERYBODY!)

-I shall teach you some Malay language! (or slangs - we're very famous for Manglish ) and English. Very proficient in both thought it might not show much on my profile. Perks of blogging...

-I'd love to learn Japanese, Spanish, Korean.. any other languages basically. If I could relive my life again I would probably take up linguistics as my major.

The idea of learning things from others is simply exciting. I'll probably meet a CSer with a different background and beliefs - that'll make me see the world in a different light. I'd like to experience that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some facts about Accounting! How important it is to actually keep track of your finances, etc. Currently I'm doing auditing so if you want some tips about that, do ask me (privately) :p

I can tutor you if you're interested to know about basic Malay language, or how to read for 8 hours without falling asleep.

Malaysian diversity is something we're quite famous for. Do ask about the festivals in Malaysia and when's the best time to visit! (ALL YEAR LONG!)

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom
