ABOUT ME

I enjoy laughing until my cheeks hurt and shakin' my groove thang. Exploration is essential as I thrive on new experiences and finding beauty in the world. I love to sleep under the stars and wake up with dew in my hair. I like to envision a better world starting with self transformation and community action.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in living my life on my own terms and I'm not afraid to take risks to pursue my happiness. I love the freedom of not having too many material possessions to hold me back. As a member of the glitteratti, I live to love deeply and make the world a more sparkly magical place.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was pretty active with my local CS community in Portland and have helped plan and set up the CS camp at the SOAK festival.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed in several countries and states in the US. I spent 5 years living on the road but before that I hosted my share of couchsurfers in Austin, Texas. I met many awesome people via couchsurfing throughout my travels in Southeast Asia and Australia.

Intereses

Travel, bikes, pterodactyl calls, interacting with different people, fermented foods, culinary experimentation, monkeys, cockatoos, making art out of found objects, burlesque, drag, gardening, composting poop, vegetarianism, being vegan, sewing, radical transformation, Redwoods, queer culture, sticking my thumb out, punks and roaming vagabonds, gender benders, spirituality, extreme camping, the desert, the mountains, interesting cloud formations, waterfalls, the guy on the corner playing the sax, bus stop gurus, building community, Food Not Bombs, carnies, wild foraging, all things strange, and life in general.

Hitching all over Australia and never staying in a hostel or hotel, sleeping on the beaches and out under the billions of stars in the Outback and waking up to see kangaroos jumping up canyon walls.
