About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see as much of Europe as I can before I go back to Cali~
ABOUT ME
I'm currently an international student studying at Uppsala University for the year. My home University is CSU, Sacramento which is in California. Before going to Sweden I had never been out of the states before and deciding to come over here as been the best decision of my life. Besides that I'm a really out going and friendly person that is just looking to experience new things. I hope to work in Public Relations after I graduate. Like many P.R. people I'm friendly, talkative, and I'm told fun to be around. I one day hope to work for a company that would send me out of the US on a regular basis, this traveling thing has become addicting!
Feel free to check out my Facebook, and if you're thinking about hosting me, don't hesitate in adding me. http://www.facebook.com/matt.aguirre1
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Haven't participated yet, I'm brand new to the site. Looking to just surf right now since I have no place for people to stay. If I have a positive experience with the site I will be more than happy to host people when I go back to California.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Still waiting for my first experience, I wonder who will pop my CS cherry :P
Interests
The older I get, the more I travel, the more I experience, the more I find out that I have so much to learn about myself. But what I know right now is I love to be physically active. I played organized sports all the way up till about 2 and a half years ago. Now I've surprisingly gotten into running, always hated long distance before. Couple years ago I also discovered I had a thing for cooking. I've taken 7 cooking classes at my old university, which I thought was amazing! I enjoy having conversations about life, new hobbies, politics, and religion, even though those last two I've learned you have to tread lightly depending on who you're talking too. I'm into so much more so there's a good chance I have at least 1 thing in common with you. I'm always up to try something new as well :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Not a big book person at this time in my life. But I love Comedy's and Sci Fi's...well and many other genres as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Oktoberfest and Valborg are some of the coolest things I've participated in. Besides that, in the last semester I've been to Munich, Berlin, Paris and of course Sweden. This next semester I plan to go to London, Spain, Amsterdam, and who knows what else. The thing I plan on doing right before I go back to California is to run with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain! I figured it would be an epic way to end the best year of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm here to learn as much about other people's countries and cultures as possible. At the same time, I'm more than happy to share my American "culture" or there lack of it with you. I can teach you some American slang, American sports, and maybe even the thinking behind some of American politics, even though I don't always get it myself. I've also learned some about Swedish culture, which I now love!
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
