About Me
ABOUT ME
I grew up in the US, lived in Turkey for a few years and am now back in Berlin finishing my masters
Most people like me. I like most people. I talk a lot.
My life has changed from Couchsurfing, 75% of my friends I either gained directly or indirectly on two continents, and I'm always up for a beer or a water or a gazoz and a talk and a meal and a walk around the city, wherever it may be, as host or as traveler.
PHILOSOPHY
"Wohin wollen Sie gehen?"
"Dorthin, wo man mir sagt: 'Du bist Gast hier' und ich antworten kann: "Ja gerne!"

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Things I've discovered through Couchsurfing:
Other people are so much cooler than me.
I can't play basketball.
Put something on top of fries and it will taste good.
Nobody makes strawberries like Québec.
Always have an umbrella.
Addresses don't always exist.
Vienna has much better Mexican food than Berlin.
Wearing shoes with holes in them is not smart in Dublin.
Interests
I ride my bike when it's not stolen.
I make stencils and spray t-shirts and other stuff.
I cook 5 different meals. (which can be modified with either salça or krema)
I write poems and short stories.
I work for a magazine (renk. Magazin).

Music, Movies, and Books
Right now really into Berliner Schule and old Turkish movies. Huge fan of Thomas Arslan and Fatih Akin. Sarmaşık.
Currently very big into German hip hop, but I listen to anything, really. Not too much pop, though.
Brecht is the best, but I also love Emine Sevgi Özdamar and Selim Özdogan
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Interpreted during an interview between a journalist friend of mine and the Cumhuriyet Ankara Bureau Chief Erdem Gül who is like a hero to me and getting to meet and discuss politics with him.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about languages/linguistics, and love talking politics and about sociological stuff as well.
