ABOUT ME

My name is Marie Jolie but everyone calls me MJ. I'm a female (duh lol!) I'm a very positive person, open minded, aloha vibes,down to earth and understanding. My heart belongs to the ocean and mountains. I was born in a beautiful island in the Philippines. I have a very warm heart especially to the nature. I'm against violence, animal cruelty and GMO.
I used to live in Gaslamp downtown San Diego, CA. Living there taught me so many positive things, and that's where I am now. Then the perfect time came and I decided to do my own business. My ultimate goal is to have a vegan cafe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCH SURFING

I used to host but I recently moved to a more quiet place.
I've attended to some CS events around San Diego, tried to meet up
with CS visiting San Diego. I got really busy the past 6 months. But every now and then, I always tell my friends about Couch surfing. People who are open minded and have compassion and understands the CS purpose.

COUCH SURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted surfers first before I started couch surfing, visited and explored Oahu and Big Island Hawaii. Very lucky and thankful to find the best hosts there.

AMAZING,UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE.

CS opened my eyes that there are good people out there. I used to not talk to strangers even though I was a bartender. But negativity comes when when attract it. So this community changed my perspective in life. My trip to Hawaii is a big part of my life change. I became vegan after that trip. Awesome, amazing hospitality and very family oriented.

-Dancing the night away at a LIVE concert with half a million people singing and dancing in joy, FOR 3 DAYS!!!

-Swimming with hundreds of fishes in the sea of Hawaii...

-Always wiping someone's tears.
