About Me
ABOUT ME
Ok- so I am not a nomad and I also have a degree, an 8-5 job... blah, blah, blah. I don't always like to be associated with my profession and I seek friends and relationships with people that will keep my life diverse and fun.
I love to try new things, meet people and see new places. I need a change of scenery every now and then, I just can't stay in the same place for too long.
I am a women of the outdoors currently stuck in Chicago. Help me please. I will probably stay consistent with my past and only remain here a few years. Let's see where life takes me.
PHILOSOPHY
This one is too deep for me. Does that make me shallow?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I can't host but I go to local events and chat with travellers. Whenever I travel I prefer to surf over stay in a hostel. I travel because I want to get to know the local culture- not to hang out with other Americans in a hostel.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Wonderfull experiences.
I have stayed with some of the most kind and generous strangers. My favorite was when I was exceptionally tired from travel in Scotland, and a retired man offered to host me. He picked me up from the bus station, cooked the most amazing scottish traditional dinner and then I got a good nights sleep. In the morning he was back in the kitchen cooking again- a traditional Scottish breakfast. Insisting the whole time I eat up even though he doesn't like breakfast. It was awesome. Later that day he dropped me back in town and well wished me on my way. He never asked anything from me, what an amazing person.
Interests
Anything outside, adventure, exploring, mountain biking, backpacking, Scuba, skiing and horse trekking.
Since I have been living in the city I have found new interests including urban exploring and cycling, live shows, comedy shows, learning to play the mandolin and lots of reading.
Someday I will live in a mountain town.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like movies that make me think, books that teach me things and music of all kinds.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I studied abroad in New Zealand for semester. I learned a lot about myself and had an amazing time.
Teach, Learn, Share
If I lived in a mountain town I would teach you the ways of outdoor adventure. But since I newly live in Chicago, I am still learning the ways of the town so we can struggle with it together.
When I pick up another commuter bike I could take you on an urban cycling trip.
