Overview
About Me
My name is Mi Jo and I am part Japanese and part English, but call the Caribbean my home. On my free time, I enjoy cooking in the kitchen, going for walks, and listening to podcasts. In university, I took Salsa lessons for four years and Latin music is a new love of mine! Growing up, I was very much involved in sports, such as swimming, tennis, and golf. Now, I like to focus my time on reading books and planing future trips, near or far. I love food (especially sweet things), hiking, and red wine.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friends who have used Couchsurfing have only mentioned positive experiences.
Unfortunately, my current living situation does not house extra guests, but I hope this can change in the near future.
My fondest solo traveling experience has often involve learning from the locals of the area. When I travel, I am not much interested in the "tourists" spots as I am in the local experience. This includes the culture, the cuisine, and most importantly the people.
Interests
I love the out doors, whether it involves walking, jogging, or biking around. Live music and bands are some of the funnest experiences along with any type of social dancing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Since I have been learning Latin dancing, such as salsa, bachata, and kizomba, Latin music is a love! I also enjoy EDM and indie rock/folk.
My favorite films have been Intouchable (French), Kimi No Na Wa (Japanese), and Run Fat Boy Run.
Recent books I have read and that I have really enjoyed are: ""Just Mercy (Steve Stevenson) and "A Walk in the Woods" (Bill Bryson).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I decided to attend university after traveling and working abroad for two years in Europe and Japan.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am easy going, flexible, responsible, and down-to-Earth.
