ABOUT ME

I am from California and studied at UCSB for undergrad. I just finished my tenure at environmental nonprofit that worked on protecting parks and open space. I last visited Europe for a semester abroad at Lund University in Sweden and traveled extensively.

PHILOSOPHY

What helps me wake up each morning? Knowing that there is so much work to be done to improve the quality of human lives here on earth by giving back to those who are less fortunate. I'm an open-minded person; let's talk about music, philosophy, politics, religion, movies, culture--I'm excited to hear about what inspires you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in Poland last time I was in Europe. Hoping to move to San Francisco or Berkeley soon so I can start hosting myself!

Interests

I enjoy live music and concerts, cooking, reading nonfiction, and watching documentaries. I'm an avid biker and runner. I'm interested in city planning and am considering pursuing graduate studies in this area.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: action movies (Bruce Willis, Jason Statham movies, anyone?), Suspense/thrillers/crime dramas, Comedies.
Some favorite directors are Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorcese, Christopher Nolan, etc.
Music: Rock, blues, house, jazz, hip-hop. Ask me more!
Books: Generally nonfiction, although I enjoy classic literature too--sci fi and fantasy are a few favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the opportunity during college to volunteer with OFA (Organize for America), Barack Obama's campaign. I got to stand behind him during a speech he gave about public education, and shook his hand afterward.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm building my knowledge of city and regional planning; I hope to learn more about European city planning and design by visiting some of the main attractions.
