About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make experiences around the world

ABOUT ME

I'm a curious person. I love learning about other cultures and people and this has generally fueled my interest in traveling. I didn't really begin travelling until I was in college, when I first spent a month in Paris. It ended up being the best experience of my life and I have since studied in London as well as lived in Brittany as well.

In addition to travelling, I enjoy reading, playing sports (I play football/soccer about every weekend), going out with friends, hanging out with my animals (2 cats at home). I have been practicing a vegan diet for about three years now, and do my best to incorporate that philosophy into other aspects of my life as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As of now (July 2015) I only have three CS experiences: two weeks in Mexico City, a weekend in Paris and a week in Rennes . All three experiences were fantastic and allowed me to see the cities I was in in a different way than if I were in a hotel, hostel etc. My hosts were all fun and interesting people too. I'm always up for being shown around or going out and about with whoever is hosting me.

Interests

Sports, football (soccer) in particular, music (mostly rock), animals, I LOVE dogs and cats, especially big dogs, if you have a dog I will want to take it on a walk, parties, history, philosophy, religion, I can play board games all night long (I am especially fond of RISK and Scattegories among other games), I also like learning different languages (have taken French, Spanish and German, would love to add more to that list)

I really just like being around nice friendly people and going out and getting to know them, having a good time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For the school year of 2015-16, I took a big risk and decided to teach English in France. I was placed just outside of Rennes, in Bretagne and worked at a high school. I had no experience teaching in a high school before but working there and living abroad has been the best decision of my life, to this day. The best aspects of that year were the people I met, the bonds I created with my students, the countries I traveled to within Europe, and all the improvement that I made with speaking French.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, France, Greece, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, United States
