ABOUT ME
I'd love to bring people around in Singapore or just meet up for a cup of coffee as I love getting to know people. I might be a bit quiet at first, but I warm up pretty fast. I always try to recycle if i can. I like to appreciate life. I love listening to people. I don’t club/party.
PHILOSOPHY
I like to try to make the most seemingly-boring things appear interesting..I think its all about perspectives and an open mind..
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I spread the word about CS to people and try my best to create awareness and spread the joy!! Plus.. I'm verified and made a donation! Its so worth it!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Stayed with very nice and friendly hosts in Macau, Hong Kong and Manila (Philippines) and they've ALL been really nice, willing to walk and explore the place we're in together!!
Interests
I like to listen as much as I talk. and i love museums, reading, walking, nature, photography, philosophy, religion... I used to be an exercise buff, but unfortunately thats not the case any more, have become a bit lazy- but! i totally love playing badminton! i like sending post-cards to people, looking at architecture of buildings, and of course, journals relating to clinical social work / healthcare (it really is a passion!)
Music, Movies, and Books
arrahman :) alternative, rock, pop, oldies ...
i read non-fiction/fiction books, anita desai, karen armstrong, i particularly like asian authors but no no i am not restricted to them .. i'm not really a movie person too much but i watch them once in a while. i like the harry potter series. i also like myths/legends.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I joined Couchsurfing!!!
I got hit by a van when I was crossing the pedestrian crossing back home in sunny safe Singapore. and got hit on my face.
I almost got robbed in Manila when I was with my host and we were really freaked out.
and i've managed to be a social worker for 8 years. i think that's sort of amazing because i never thought i'd last past 3 years. haha. i've had tons of conversation about death and dying with people, which always reminds me that its time to think about life and living :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Every individual that we meet can teach us tons of things that we never knew, as long as we're willing to open our minds. be humble, kind, for we never know what sorrows someone carries with them even as they smile :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Intellectual conversation, a good cup of coffee, and stories about life & culture in Singapore
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand
Countries I’ve Lived In
Singapore
