Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment, I can mostly participate by promoting a real cultural exchange between me and all my future hosters as I am travelling for my projects a lot. But I can also meet anyone who is around JKT if I'm not busy!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been couchsurfing for 2 years. I made lots of friends, especially in Asia where I stayed nearly one month in 2013. Everything is so much fun when you are with the others.
I also got some experiences in collocations and it all went well. But it is also important to set limits and talking a lot so the other one can better understand your way of living. :)
Interests
** Sports (or what I used to do)**
- Martial arts (esp. Tae Kwon Do);
- Ice figure skating (been practicing this one for +10 years);
- Basket Ball (love to watch and play);
- Running
- Gym
** Activities **
- High interested in psychology, self-development and sociology books. If I had to keep only one author, it would be Tony Robbins. I am a total fan of his books. I also love the French author Laurent Gounelle, particularly his best-seller "The Man Who Wanted To Be Happy".
- Also like general fictional books, Haruki Murakami is my favorite author in this and I love the serie "1Q84".
- I am a professional photographer documenting ethnic groups in Indonesia.
If you are curious about my work, check me out at: @mahz_photography (IG) or my Facebook page: Mahz Photography
- I have a growing desire to learn any cultures related with Southeast Asia. Needless to say I love to travel. I got the chance to meet people from Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Philippines and I got overwhelmed by their kindness, warmth and way of living.
- Love to social networking with the others (that's why I am here!). At the moment, as I am actively traveling, I do not get the chance to spend a lot of time on social networks but am still active because I work for an electronic music label "Abora Recordings". You can follow us on Facebook here: www.facebook.com/AboraRecordings
- I happen to listen to some "commercial" artists as well like the British group Coldplay, or Bruno Mars or more recently Ellie Goulding.

Will put an amazing list soon, need to think about that! :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I think most of the things have been said above. If ever I forgot something, I will write it here. :)
But in a general way, I love cultural exchange, languages (which is something I really enjoy), curiosity, and the way of life in general.
Therefore I am willing to learn ANY kinds of new languages, aside of French and English of course.
