About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Wandering, not lost...
ABOUT ME
I'm a North Carolina native and Returned Peace Corps Volunteer living in Washington DC. I am currently pursuing my master's in international relations at American University. It is my goal to visit every country on Earth at least once. I believe that every country (indeed, every city or decent-sized town) has something worthwhile, some experience worth having or person worth meeting.
PHILOSOPHY
See above. Also: "Not all who wander are lost." -J.R.R. Tolkien.
Interests
I am passionate about human rights, books, music, politics, and other nerdy subjects. I also like hiking, mountain-climbing, and white-water rafting.

Music, Movies, and Books
This would take far too long to type out. I like a wide variety of books (from science fiction to history), movies (comedies and dramas), and music (generally folk or "indie rock", but I'll listen to almost anything). If you'd like to know more, just ask!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveling for 3 days through scorching desert on abominable roads to reach the shore of Lake Turkana and taking a boat out to Central Island, climbing the volcanic peak and looking down into the tranquil blue island-lake full of crocodiles and flamingos.
Teach, Learn, Share
Things I could teach or share: information about human rights, global politics and religions, music. Things I would love to learn: Another language! Other customs and ways of viewing the world! How to play the guitar (I haven't played since I was 14, so I need a refresher)!
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Cyprus, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, Israel, Jordan, Mexico, Netherlands, Palestine, Tanzania, Uganda, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
Kenya, United States
