About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live long and prosper... and learn, learn, learn.

ABOUT ME

I try not to treat life too serious. It's to short to waste on things you don't like doing! Better to have fun before asking for permission, eh? ;)

I am a nerd in everything I do. Whether it is sci-fi, gaming or the Austrian Empire during the mid 1800s.

I read a lot, often re-read my favorites over and over again. So I don't have the knowledge I'd like to have, when it comes to books. Another passion of mine is music. I listen to music a lot and play the saxophone myself. If you have any music recommendations I am always open for new suggestions to expand my music catalog.

I love sitting all day in a café, talking to a friend you haven't met in ages. You would probably find me in a café or a pub but less frequently in a club since I am not the partying kind.

I have a BSc in Preservation of the Built Environment from Gothenburg University. The combination of history with buildings combined two of my main interests. In short: I like to look at buildings :)

I am currently working towards a master's degree in social science and welfare studies. It is very interesting and I have learned a lot about myself and the world we live in. I spent the third semester of my degree at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM studying political science and sociology during election season. An amazing experience!

I consider myself an outgoing, kind and happy person who enjoy life and try to make the best out of it.

PHILOSOPHY

My feeling about life is that you have to make things happen, you can't be a bystander in your own life. You have to try things to make things happen. Only one person can make your dreams come true. You.
I'm also picking up litter that I see lying around and throw it in a garbage can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By letting surfers sleep on my couch and guide them around Östergötland.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had people stay with me and it's always been fun. Some have taken longer to open up but I feel that all have given me something in return. So thank you dear surfers!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The thing that touched me most on a personal level was living on a farm in the Australian outback alone with an Aussie and a Brit.

My time in Albuquerque, NM, USA. It was an amazing experience and I learned so much about myself on a personal and professional level.

Being in Rome with my University course. Looking at old buildings all day for a week with people who like looking at old buildings all day :)

Teach, Learn, Share

A lot of Swedish railway stations (including the ones in Gothenburg and Norrköping) are designed by an engineer called Adolf Edelswärd because he was the first offical architect/engineer of the Swedish Railways. There were only three official architects before the title was abolished.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Poland, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Sweden, United States
