ABOUT ME

Here is a bit of me I learned from my friends:
I laugh a lot, inappropriately most of times;
I can be super talktive or quiet;
Four sips of beer gets me "ridiculously" drunk;
Yogurt and tomato can always be found in my fridge;
I have "too many" books, movies, documentaries on war;
I am "totally useless" in the early morning - not quite a morning person;
I hate to open tuna tins but I am a big fan of tuna sandwich;
I eat 12 meals a day when I have a bad or good day;
When I say "porn" outloud, I usually mean "corn";

I love my friends and family. Being away from them for long is very difficult to me. I have been blessed for most of my time in Canada though. At the moment I am trying to live my life to the fullest with no regret.

I LOVE talking to people. Anyone. Learning while talking. It is interesting to see how people can be so different with distinctively focused attention to different aspects of life and our world. I believe conversations are the most effective and efficient way to get to know a people, through which amazing connection could happen.

PHILOSOPHY

To try everything twice, just in case....

I was raised in traditional Chinese culture and grew up with lots of western trends. Sometimes it causes confusion to live in such a mosaic world. Fortunately, I have learned to appreciate what life offers, no matter it presents itself a comedy or tragedy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed a few here and there. All of them have been wonderful experience and some hosts are my good friends and even like family now. I only hosted once in Nanjing but it was a great memory and I even had my parents hooked up with CS!

兴趣

Travelling is in my blood. I have a long list of places I would like to go at least once in my life. I am particularly intrigued to small/less traveled spots on this earth. Central and South America and Africa are on the top of this big list.

I have a deep desire to explore the Mother Nature. Dipping my feet in the crystal clear stream after a day's hiking is like a touch of heaven. I love refreshing breeze touching my face on top of mountains; I love listening rain drops dancing on the tent; I love lying in the woods or on the beach for intensely starred sky forever.
"There is a pleasure in the pathless woods;
There is a rapture on the lonely shore;
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar,
I love not man the less, but Nature more..."

I am passionate about sports and I really want to try ALL kinds of sports. I used to teach children badminton and I am a certified national basketball referee. Since now I am in Canada, winter sports would make so much more sense to me. I consider me as the No.1 curling fan now!

I love to learn as many languages as possible. I taught myself French and Spanish.

I can stay in the kitchen till the end of the world. Cooking and dining either alone or with friends is therapeutic to me. Super enjoy cooking for loved ones.

Having my own pets is one of the ultimate dreams of my life. Choc labrador would be my No.1 choice. (they are just way too sexy!)

I am very interested in war history, especially world war II, as well as culture and national identities. Guitar solo and African music are among my favorite.

I love watching movies and documentaries, preferably with friends. Gosh I miss those movie nights...
