About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Becoming the person I want to be for the rest of my life
ABOUT ME
I am a 28 year old guy who loves helping other people. My wife, Katelyn, and I absolutely love traveling and spending time with others who share in our love of exploring the world. I want to eventually participate in a cultural advancement program for individuals who are incapable of helping themselves. I absolutely love being outdoors, playing sports, hiking, skiing, relaxing... basically anything outside. I really enjoy being around the people I care about because they bring out the best in me. I really like to experience as much as I possibly can, and I love to learn from other people's experiences and wisdom. I get along extremely well with others, and I love to see people laugh and enjoy themselves.
PHILOSOPHY
Live. Love. Laugh.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been a member of couch surfing for a while now. I've transitioned from the Midwest out to Boulder, Colorado, and Katelyn and I have fallen completely in love with this area. We absolutely love traveling. I traveled to Europe on a backpacking adventure for a couple months as well as an EWB trip to South America. We think the CS project is great way for travelers to connect with people in the cultures they travel to. It allows people to experience another country in their travels outside the eyes of a tourist.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I backpacked around Europe for the summer of 2009. I had the opportunity and privilege of staying with several couch surfers. I have had the opportunity to host several surfers and I have loved sharing experiences with all of them. I only hope to host more and more in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Gladiator, Fight Club, Pirates of the Caribbean, Oceans 11, and the list goes on and on...
Music: I can enjoy nearly any type of music. I play the drums, so I enjoy anything with good rhythm: from jazz to alternative to etc...
Books: I like a book that can tug on my emotions or really get me wrapped up in my imagination. And the Bible is my constant source of literature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have traveled to a small community in Rio Colorado, Bolivia as an engineering student to aid the village in several construction projects such as a well for drinking water. It was an incredible experience for me! I have also backpacked Europe. This was a very different and exciting experience for me to be able to see an entirely different culture that I have only learned about second hand. I've also had the pleasure of biking the most dangerous road in the world: the death road in Bolivia.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am exceptional when it comes to math, which is why I became an engineer. I wouldn't say that I have an expertise in any sort of skill, but I am well rounded in many different areas. I would love to learn more about the world and the people in it.
