ABOUT ME

I enjoy traveling to new places without an itinerary. Our annual road trip in August 2009 took us down the eastern seaboard to Nags Head, Asheville NC, across Tennessee (Gatlinburg, Centerville, Memphis, Nashville), returning through the mountains to Pittsburgh. 2010 we camped and traveled through Vermont. 2015 my son and I traveled through Scotland, London, France, Germany, Belgium, Hungary, Poland, and Finland.

I have been focusing on gardening, beekeeping, and winemaking over the last few years. We appreciate being closer to, and having a direct impact on, our food chain and source of meals. While only a very small percentage of meals comes from our garden, even a small amount is a positive step toward food management and protection of heirloom varieties.
