ABOUT ME
A bit of a global vagabond myself I have lived in Uzbekistan, Argentina, Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, traveled much of South and Central America and now live in Bonn. Love meeting new people with similar interest, sharing a drink and a story, and having a few laughs.
PHILOSOPHY
"Dance like no one is watching, love like you'll never be hurt, sing like no one is listening, and live like it's heaven on earth."- William Purkey
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Open my door and my mind to a project on the global movement of people. Looking forward to some of the traffic flowing my way.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Attended an improptu Thanksgiving dinner in Tashkent that was comprised mainly of internationalists, global vagabonds, couch surfers, and occasional drunken fool. Eating in traditional Uzbek style on the floor with people from around the world who came to partake in an American holiday made for a memorable night and great way to celebrate "thanks". Decided then and there that I would join couchsurfing to host guests and hopefully in the future do a bit of couchsurfing myself.
Interests
movies, art museums, Soviet kitch, anything with garlic, newspapers on Sundays, sitting in parks, flossing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Any movie from the 70's, though Taxi Driver, Deer Hunter, and Annie Hall are my absolute favorites. I also have a personal affinity for indie romantic comedies and any media about late 20s / early 30s angst and arrested development. Music I am pretty much open My Pandora channels I listen to the most are MGMT, Shins, Kimya Dawson, and Brian Jonestown Massacre. Since Pandora is blocked in Uzbekistan I miss music a lot so anything at this point would be appreciated.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Something about life puts me in awe almost everyday. Sometimes for its splendor, sometimes its pain, and sometimes its simplicity, but there is always something there.
