About Me
Hi everyone
Although I had downloaded this app so long ago, now is the first time I'm using it, excited to get my firsts couchsurfing experiences 😄
I'm coming from the tip of south America, the south of Chile. Currently living in Germany for one year, but the most of the time traveling around the country.
I was born and raised in Concepción, the second biggest city, after Santiago, but always related with the wild countryside and the farm, having a strong bond with them, since my family comes from the farm, and, besides, my father always used to take us to nature, having such amazing trips.
I guees that's why I ended up deciding to live in the countryside, and why I love traveling and spending my time in nature so much.
I work as tourguide, and the most of the time I'm climbing or doing trekking. These are my main hobbies, apart from traveling in general.
I started traveling at the age of 19, and after that first experience by doing hitchhiking (autostop) I'd realized that I was going to do it forever. And here we are.
The main reason why I love this so much is due the different realities I know throughout the places I visit, knowing about the cultures by going beyond the clasic touristic system, which it was what would have changed me the most, maybe forever.
Just to be clear, I'm just willing to make friends and having friendly moments, I'm aware this is not tinder and I strongly believe on supporting each other as travelers, starting from respecting each other.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I want to meet people from places I'm visiting and, as well as they host me, also hosting people when I'm at home.
You can take a look on my IG if you like travel, farmlife and nature! @mllarenam 😄
Interests
I love traveling, climbing, hiking, going out on expeditions, mountaineering, getting new experiences and adventures, reading, and learning about literally everything, all the time.
Growing food is also one of my obsessions, willing to do it wherever I have the chance
Also cooking and constantly learning new manners and recipes, plus, I'm completely obsessed with fermented food, specially sourdough bread, and fermented beverages.
Fun fact: so obsessed with sourdough I am, that I'm carrying a little jar with my sourdough starter in my backpack
Finally, here is a phrase which I think is the key to understand what's going on out there:
"Power resides where men believe it resides. It's a trick, a shadow on the wall. And a very small man can cast a very large shadow."
