About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm looking for people that will make me discover and learn more about the World and about myself.

ABOUT ME

Hey! I'm 25 years old, just recently finished university and I'm actually travelling on the west coast of USA and Canada. :)

I love meeting new people, discover new artists, and hang out in different and cool places. Oh, and I LOVE food too! I'm a lot into music, culture, communications and networking. I'm very curious so I read a lot blogs about arts, communications as well as movies and politics.

I stayed in appartment with people from different countries in the last years and I loved that. We actually call my appartment a "youth hostel" so I used to welcome lot of friends (and friends of friends...) that were in transit, going on travels or coming back in town.

I'm in a wheelchair so traveling in a new city can be quite a challenge but I manage it! I can walk with a cane and climb up stairs if needed so it makes it easier to find places to stay. But still, my lovely host has to share that difficulty with me cause I need help. It's not that hard but it's a "responsibility" that I want people to be aware of.

Finally, traveling is big a challenge but creates a lot of empowerment for me :)

PHILOSOPHY

I think that the more experience you live, the more you learn about people, the world and yourself, and the more you can be a better person. Traveling is a way of combine all these elements and see what we can get from it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now I'm participating by traveling... but as soon as I get home it'll be with pleasure that I'll offer my couch, time and love for my city with other travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a new born in the Couch Surfing community and had my first couch surfing experience last week in Santa Barbara, California, and it was AMAZING. Discovered places, met people and had a great time. Wish to experience it again in other cities!

Interests

I love meeting new people, discover new artists and places. I'm into arts and culture -music, movies, architecture, visual and performing arts, etc. But also History, museums, nature, politics. I love talking with people about their lives and the city and country where they live.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything that blows my mind. Basically.

Movies : Pulp Fiction, Edward Scissorshands, Zoolander, Sin City, Forrest Gump, What Dreams May Come, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The 5th Element, L'auberge espagnole...

Books : I'm a die hard fan of Harry Potter!

Music : Arcade Fire, Band of Skulls, Foals, Beast, Misteur Valaire, Against Me!, Flogging Molly, PL Mafia, Pink Floyd, The Creepshow, Billy Talent + A LOT of local french artists from Quebec and punk bands from Montreal too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Directed and started projects related to music to help bands and local artists in Montreal like : starting a radio show and writing in webzine (punkmeup.com), started a record label (teambigwheel.com) and a small festival (montrealskafestival.ca). Yes, I'm very proud of it!
Traveled in France and USA in the last years
During this present trip : Fed rays (I love rays), rolled with my wheelchair on the edge of Grand Canyon, did bungee in Las Vegas, sailed on the ocean, survived the hilly streets of San Francisco, got lost in Seattle!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm learning a lot right now. I'll share and teach later, OK?
