ABOUT ME

Hello!

My name is Matt and I am from the United States. I consider myself an open-mided person and love to try new things and learn about new cultures. With that said, traveling is my biggest hobby. I also enjoy high-adrenaline sports and activities like skydiving, rock climbing, snowmobiling and roller coasters.

I currently live in South Korea as an English Teacher at a Hagwon In Yongin-si (just south of Seoul). Living in Korea and teaching children has been a fascinating experience!

I worked at Disney World in 2011 and loved interacting with people from all over the world on a daily basis. I enjoy spending time with my friends and interesting people. More than anything, I love being around people with a sense of humor.

I tried couchsurfing while I was a student in the Netherlands in 2010 and loved it. I think it's a great way to meet people and truly connect with others from a different culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I tried couchsurfing in Cologne, Germany and it was great! I stayed with a young couple and they were extremely hospitable. We purchased beer and walked around the city while they showed me different areas of their city. It was one of the highlights of my trip and I will always remember the time we spent together. Truly a fantastic experience!

兴趣

I LOVE Sports. I am a competitive person so I enjoy many different kinds of sports. Football (American football, that is) is my favorite sport and I also enjoy baseball, basketball, and soccer.

I also enjoy watching movies. I enjoy all kinds of movies, but mostly dramas. I love a good comedy as well. I have yet to be beat at Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, so please do feel free to challenge me. :)

I LOVE music! I enjoy pretty much everything except Rap. I especially enjoy foreign music...It's not always about what is being said.

And lastly, I am a roller coaster nerd! I have been on over 400 different roller coasters from around the world and can tell you just about anything about them.

Books are nice and all, but I'm just not a book person. I would much rather be out exploring or spending time with friends and family.
