About Me
CURRENT MISSION
We're going to live like we're telling the best story in the whole world.
ABOUT ME
After discovering CouchSurfing while living abroad, I've gotten more involved with it's various social communities. Now that I'm back in the DFW area, my roommates and I host people fairly regularly.
Having grown up in the metroplex and surrounding areas, we know a lot of the touristy things to do as well as some of the more obscure attractions or private events.
The whole CouchSurfing concept is brilliant and I look forward to meeting as many new people as possible.
*Note: I swear I'm not a terrible person with my zero percent response rate! It seems I forgot to update my couch status some time ago when I began graduate school and didn't look too closely at the CouchSurfing e-mails. As I grow closer to wrapping up my Masters in Communication, I am becoming more available to meet up, however hosting would still be difficult.
PHILOSOPHY
"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.â" - Dr. Suess
"The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity." - Dorthy Parker
"I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I ended up where I needed to be." - Douglas Adams
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My roommates and I have enjoyed living vicariously through the travels of others, so we used to host when we could. I also utilize CouchSurfing to find couches to crash, social groups, and activities when I'm traveling.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed with a family in Bangalore, India and was involved with the CS Group of Cebu, Philippines when I lived there. Hosted over a dozen surfers here in Texas as well as meet some people to hang out with while I am in Australia in June or traveling with work.
Interests
There's usually always something interesting going on in the area, but also up for a chill night at home hanging out with new people and old friends.
Hobbies include photography, wine making, leather art, and traveling.
