Hi all! I am Marco, from Dolomites in Italy. I haven't been living at home for almost 10 years now, I moved out to study in Denmark and then started doing research in France. I've always loved mountains and my profession comes out from this passion: I am a researcher in cryosphere, meaning that I study everything frozen in high moutains and arctic. A free joke for you: "man in few years you'll be sooo unemployed!"

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I learnt about couchsurfing 10 years ago while hitchiking in Scotland and found it litteraly the best idea ever! I've made awesome experiences and even some long lasting friendships. I've always hosted people when possible, although lately I've been a bit out of the game due to housing issues. But I am eager to keep on couchsurfing, meet locals and let travelers have a unique experience!

I just love mountains since I was a kid, easy peasy never a single doubt about it. Lately I have been a lot into surfing, which is good so I can appreciate deepr a larger share of the globe now!
