CURRENT MISSION
Filling my life with Hungarian stuff
ABOUT ME
Sziasztok! I'm an Italian girl, I recently finished my Erasmus in Budapest, and then travelled around Ukraine and Transylvania for a month and a half. I absolutely loved this trip, the beautiful places we visited and the amazing people we met. Now it's time to continue my eastern European studies from Italy. I've been couch-surfing for a while, and now I finally have a profile, which I will gradually fill in with stuff about me. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Mostly surfing :) I've been "co-host" a couple of times, so I'd love to host Couchsurfers, but unfortunately I'll have to wait until I'll leave my parents' home. :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Exciting, interesting, inspiring, touching, invigorating, surprising
Interests
Travelling (I'm not sure I need to mention it, under these circumstances..). Languages. Folklore, in all its expressions. The Caucasus and its fascinating cultures. Lovely conversations with random old people, preferably in foreign languages. Teaching fashion sense to English guys (ok, one in particular). Sitting in nice cafés with a book and/or an interesting person. Travelling by eating: trying out traditional cuisines of foreign countries. Enjoying folk or jazz concerts in smoky cafés, sipping a glass of wine: a cliché perhaps, but still irreplaceable.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a passion for folk music, especially from eastern Europe. Just to mention some names: Palya Bea, Besh O Drom, Sebestyén Márta és Muzsikás, Kiende, Goran Bregović.
I mostly read Russian and Hungarian literature (I'm currently trying to understand if it's because of my studies, or because I actually like it). :) If I'm not reading some Bulgakov or Kosztolányi, then I enjoy reading random novels that I chose for myself (!) or recommended by someone.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going up the bell tower of a wooden church in Kalotaszeg through creaky wooden steps.
Teach, Learn, Share
Ehm... I guess the only thing I can teach is a bit of the languages I speak... Ah, and apparently I can bake very good muffins too. :)
Countries I’ve Visited
