About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling and trying to get closer to the meaning of Life

ABOUT ME

I´m 24, born and grew up in the wild East (Russia). I used to live for 10 years in Hamburg till i moved to Berlin. Actually i´m supposed to be there to study a master program in History of Art, but i decided to take a time out to travel. About myself: I try to be an honest person, i´m laughing a lot, i´m open-minded and i love to travel and learn new cultures and languages. I love to go out and enjoy concerts, art and movies. I also enjoy meeting my friends or new people to share interests. Currently i´m travelling through South America. Thats why i decided to join CouchSurfing. Its a great possibility to meet new people in new places, to learn something about their culture - food, music, mentality - most of all to see the hidden parts of their city. Everyone has a individuel view of it, something i will never get to know when i hire a tourguide.

PHILOSOPHY

Ein Optimist ist ein Mensch, der ein Dutzend Austern bestellt, in der Hoffnung, sie mit der Perle, die er darin findet, bezahlen zu koennen. (Theodor Fontane)

Which means in english:
An optimist is somebody who orders a dozen oysters hoping to pay the bill with a pearl he finds inside one of them.

Interests

Last year i discovered my pleasure for cooking. Its fun to try new dishes, mostly from other cultures and learn more about how it works to prepare them. I love spending evenings with friends while cooking, chatting and drinking wine..

Music, Movies, and Books

Books by Paul Auster, Haruki Murakami, or russian classics.I enjoy electronic music like Gui Boratto, Extrawelt, but also Radiohead, The Strokes, Kings of Leon (more the old vinyls).I love movies and i´ve got a lot of favorites, for example: movies directed by Innaritu like Amores Perros, 21 Gram or the new one Biutiful (Javier Bardem is one of the best actors). Movies directed by the Cohen brothers like No Country for Old Man (Javier Bardem! again). A single Man! Some great german movies as well, like Sonnenallee or movies directed by Fatih Akin (Solino, Soul Kitchen) or Das Leben der Anderen. There are much more and every time i´m pleased to get to know new one!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Few days ago i made my first jungle experience in bolivia. The sounds and noises of the birds and insects in the deep jungle are overwhelming - most of all the dramatic shouts of a red howler monkey!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how the Quechua people used to multiply. It works without numbers, only with lines!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Netherlands Antilles, Peru

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Russian Federation
