ABOUT ME

Art and photography are very important to me. I've been taking photos all my life and currently freelance for a weekly paper in Santa Cruz, Ca. I make sculpture with old things, rusty things, the stuff other people throw away. I call a visit to the dump "Christmas every day!" because there is so much good scrap metal to score for welding cool things. I'm a fairly active person, I like to move more than sit. I really appreciate good people and food, music, laughter, bikes, art and frisbees. Friends say I'm an open book, which can sometimes cause me to put my foot in my mouth. C'est la vie! I've got to speak the truth! I really appreciate intelligent, creative, kind, honest people that are not afraid to laugh at themselves at times. I'm into sharing and being inclusive. Not too impressed with folks that feel the need to compete every chance they get. I will however whip some butt at darts over a pint if you make me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have not participated on couchsurfing in while now. I've mostly used CS while traveling, but I;'d like to start using it to meet other CS travelers and locals. I'm currently a full time couchsurfer in Santa Cruz, but I have not been using this site for places to stay. LOTS of support from friends and family. Holding out for a warehouse for all my bikes tools and art supplies!
Lets meet for a bike ride and a drink! Coffee or a brew. I have a very large community in Santa Cruz and love to meet new people and show them the cool spots in my town. Lets make art! Lets eat! Let us dance to some live music!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I jmet 2 great people on here while visiting Thailand. They showed me some wonderful stuff in Chiang Mai. Now I cant wait to go back to Thailand, and I look forward to seeing them again wherever they may live next.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I finally went to the pyramids in Egypt! A childhood dream was to go there and find burried treasure. I actually found two old copper coins! The people are so kind, and the food is amazing!

I can teach a person how to play disc golf and to weld.
I'd like to learn how to better wrench on my bicycle, and master more good things to cook.
