ABOUT ME

I graduated from college and began working as a travel agent. I realized that I don't want to spend my entire life sitting in a cubicle and slowly rotting from the inside out. I quit, moved to Colorado to teach 3-6yr old kids how to ski. Much more rewarding! I skied, boarded, climbed mountains, and began living my dream. I then spent a much needed three months living in a tent, visiting the western states before moving to Minnesota to lead backpacking trips. After a summer of unbelievable discoveries I took off on another cross-country road trip, this time via yellow school bus, traversing the US 3 times in one summer. Then, with a one way ticket, I came to France to teach English.

I'm an adventurer who spent too many years in a cage bound by my obligations. I am open to any and all types of adventure, wanting to see the important places that shouldn't be missed as well as to experience the profoundness of lesser-known locales. I love the outdoors, but I can also be contented by simple pleasures. I am finally ready to take on anything that comes my way and ready to buy a ticket to where ever my feet lead me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Tried initially to sign up and become an active member while still in Michigan, but it never got off the ground. I couldnt host anyone because I didnt have any room and I wasnt traveling so I couldnt take advantage of to opportunity to meet new people.

Then a veritable renaissance as I visited Barcelona with a friend, staying with people the she had met on couchsurfing.com. After an amazing stay, I am now determined to do what I can to support the cause!
