ABOUT ME

I live with 4 of my close friends in an 3-story Victorian house in picturesque Lambertville, NJ. We love to cook and eat together, and I tend to do a lot of the cooking, which i love. I have a boyfriend who is the funniest, smartest, sweetest, guy I know. I work as a GIS Specialist for a navigation software company, which basically means I'm the person who makes sure that your GPS doesn't make you drive into a lake.
I am an energetic, accepting, and generous person. I can be sarcastic and if I make fun of you it's because I like you. I try to find humor in unfortunate or awkward situations.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My house is a bit full at the moment, so I am unable to host but I am definitely game to show people around Lambertville if they are passing through. It would be nice to get together with some local surfers as well. I am also looking for Danish conversation partners. Kan vi taler dansk sammen?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed in Berlin, Budapest, Croatia, Denmark, Iceland, Paris, Vienna, and Warsaw. All of them very positive experiences! I've organized a run around the lakes in Copenhagen and shown travelers around there as well. I attended a CS dinner and pub crawl in Berlin and I was totally impressed by the Berlin CS community and I think they set a great example for other cities to follow. They were super organized, energetic and friendly. I've also gone on some daytrips in Iceland with some wonderful folks.

Interessen

I love to travel and I take great pleasure in finding incredible free/cheap things to do. I read a lot and I actually miss university. I am interested in human/cultural geography as well as GIS/geotechnology. I also try to be very physically active and I enjoy gymnastics, pilates, yoga, running, squash and weight lifting. I am a vegetarian and I like cooking and eating. I am always down to learn how to make something new. I love to laugh and make other people laugh too!

Books: I love to read! The Poisonwood Bible, Mystic River, The Time Traveler's Wife, To Kill a Mockingbird, Lolita, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, Wonder Boys, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, anything by Toni Morrison or David Sedaris. Paul Theroux's books are great even though he's such a whiner.

Paddling in the bioluminescent bay in Vieques, Puerto Rico at night.

Countless summer nights walking on the path next to the Delaware River in New Jersey where I grew up, with the moon shining on the water and thousands of fireflies blinking in the darkness.
