ABOUT ME

I am back. I miss traveling and my friends in various countries terribly. But, I take solace in the fact that the world is still out there, full of exactly the types of people mingled with their places that I hoped it would be. Still vibrant and heartbreaking and grand. It's all still out there, still right where I left it.

I miss the road at the moment, fondly remembering traveling across Alaska, down the AlCan highway & through & around Canada last summer, as well as across Australia with my family, across the USA multiple times, & a myriad of other liberating travel experiences. For now, though, I've put down a few little taproots in Snohomish, WA-outside Everett/Seattle.

Play: Guitar. Hide and seek. Board games, word games, end games. At life. With animals, kids and my food. -ground (the whole planet is one). -list (because every great adventure has a sweet soundtrack). -ful.

Over the next couple of years, I plan to work toward obtaining dual citizenship in India-might as well make use of my Calcutta birth certificate! Then, hopefully, it's off to my birth country via any number of places: Latin America, South Africa, & maybe, just maybe, back to visit my Aussie family in Melbourne & around!

O meu falo um pouco de Portugues, mas ainda estou apprendendo. Assim peco desculpas pelo meus erros de falar. Gostaria de encontrar algumas outros estudantes de Portugues, e as Portuguesas tambem!

Je parle Francais un petit peu, aussi, mais je parle plus que je comprende pas. Je besoin de pratique, avec mon colleages de langues, de preference!

Y tambien hablo Espanol un poquito, pero quero de practicar mucho, y entiendo mejor!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed my way, gratefully and gleefully, across Portugal, Poland and France, and have kept hosting ever since. Some of my closest friends & fondest memories were fostered by CS: from hosting in Alaska & hiking with my guests, to being graciously, ingratiatingly & beautifully welcomed all over Europe, to cramming an Irishman & an Irish-Canadian into a Toyota Corolla with all our gear, winding through the Yukon Territory & finally into Dawson all summer long. CS again & again restores my fundamental belief in the goodness of people & the wonderment of human connection.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Began by hosting several cool cats back home in Alaska, and continued by traveling Europe as a guest. I've surfed in Portugal, Poland, France and Belgium and plan to continue...straight on 'til morning, as it were.
