À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

See Moscow and St Petersburg.

ABOUT ME

I like to talk about almost anything with friends and enjoy to sit a lounge or a bar. I like meeting new people. Many friends and people that know me describe me as classy, which is probably half-true. I like soccer, but don't play or watch it too often. I can sit in a weekend all day on the computer doing random things to waste my time. Work a lot, too, sometimes.

PHILOSOPHY

Many of my friends will say that I never say bad things about people. I tend to accept people for what they are, everyone comes from somewhere and there is a reason for why they think and behave as they do.

Centres d'intérêt

I like browsing the Internet, but I actually find it horribly boring :) I generally am interested in most things. Having grown up in a programmer family, I do a lot of programming work myself, so sometimes I can sit at a computer well into the morning :) I like soccer and tennis, although by no means a fanatic.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I've recently discovered techno a bit, though I like only a small selection (more "clubber" than hard-core techno). I also recently rediscovered reading, which I haven't done in ages. I really like Dune (Frank Herbet) and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (Ken Kesey). Heart of Darkness (Conrad Black) is also a favourite! I am currently tracking down Soviet movies online, which is not that easy!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Moved to Paris all on my own to study here at university. Although at first it was a little bit weird and boring, I never look back and think it was a mistake :)

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

When going to Kiev (or Ukraine in general):
- never take the taxi out of the airport that is offered to you as you come out. Go to the taxi booth in the middle of the airport. Worst case, bargain down to about half the price they are offering you.
- Don't reserve a hotel! Use the Internet to find an apartment that is relatively central or at least close to a metro/subway line.
- Go in May.
- Visit the Botanical Gardens (Pechers'ka Station) and see the Lilacs. The view of the city is amazing from here.
