About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel the world immersing myself in as many culturally rich experiences as possible... Learning and making new friends along the way..

ABOUT ME

I am a fun loving girl from Australia with a zest for life and passion for traveling. I love the outdoors and enjoy going to the beach, swimming, snorkeling and walking/hiking. I love exercising, cooking and socialising with friends. I am a Primary School Teacher by trade so naturally I am passionate about teaching/learning and love children of all ages!

I have spent a lot of time off traveling the world with Luke, my best friend (and boyfriend). Luke is a Roof Plumber who loves the ocean and travelling. He loves to share stories of experience on the road with those he meets. Luke has travelled expansively through Western and Eastern Europe and spent some time living and working abroad in England. He has also lived in three different states in Australia.

We share a common passion for traveling, experiencing and learning about new places, cultures and people.

PHILOSOPHY

"You only live once.. but if you do it right.. once is enough"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2014 I had some amazing Couchsurfing experiences whilst traveling through South America, from an amazing host in Chile to some really fun hangouts in Brazil and Argentina!

Couchsurfing has taught me about the generosity of complete strangers and how quickly these so called strangers become friends.

I have also had the privilege to host a friend from Holland that I met in Nicaragua for just over a week when he briefly visited the west coast.

As the majority of time we have been home between travels we have shared a two bedroom house with 3 people and 3 dogs there was literally no where to put a guest! Upon returning to Australia in October Luke and I hope to host as often as we can as we aspire to have a bigger home and be no longer share-housing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Completing the Inca Trail. We arrived at Machu Picchu the morning of my 26th birthday to watch the sunrise over the ancient ruins. I have never experienced anything to be equally as challenging as it was rewarding!

Teach, Learn, Share

As a teacher I am very passionate about learning.. I would happily share my knowledge of English or any other areas people may be interested in.. I am currently advancing my skills and broadening my language knowledge through learning Spanish!

Luke and I both love to cook and would enjoy preparing and sharing meals with our host!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would happily share my insight and knowledge of Australia and what it has to offer. As Luke and I have collectively travelled to over 30 countries, I would happily share our experiences and recommendations.

And we are always up for a good time, so that too :)
