About Me

I'm a master's student in AI living in Montreal, Canada. I like hiking, film photography, cooking, and I'm always looking for new hobbies! I'm easygoing and love hearing people's stories, and have a few great ones to tell as well!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to travel not just for the places but for the people. I've made lots of friends from around the world and I'm always looking for more. It's great to either show people around my hometown and show them just how awesome Canada can be. On the flipside, it's great to see a completely new city through the eyes of a local who knows it well. I'm always down to meet for drinks, talk to interesting people, and really get to know a city

Currently reading: Plato

Music: mostly rap, indie rock, and electronic but I can appreciate everything from jazz to electro-swing to ska

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made the ratatouille from the movie Ratatouille, it took 5 hours! Then I did two more times! Recently, I spent four months only eating bread that I had baked myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning languages and would definitely be down to always learn another! If you want to practise your English, French, or Russian with me I'm also game, and I can do some pretty decent Spanish, and a little German and Swedish.

I play guitar half-decently and can teach the basics, and I used to play chess competitively so I can teach you how to play (or if you already know, I can teach you tricks to beat the park swindlers). I also have been programming for 5+ years, so if you want to learn how to code, I'd be more than happy to get you through the basics. If you want to learn about AI and deep learning, I'm all about it, and would love to give you your own personal TED talk!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can make awesome food. If you don't bake your own bread, I promise you that we will have a fresh loaf coming out of your oven. If you ask me ahead of time, I can probably swing some Montreal bagels (or fancy Toronto teas!) But usually, I just share jokes! I've got a page full of terrible jokes that will eventually make it into a standup routine.
