About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet people, learn new things and find a way to work less and explore more.
ABOUT ME
Almost always happy, because every day above ground is a good day. I think CS is great because I love meeting new people and learning about their lives. I live in Moab, a very beautiful and powerful place in the high deserts of southern Utah. My partners and I own and operate a camping store and a small manufacturing business where we make a unique LED light that we invented. Living in Moab which is an incredible tourist destination, I get 3 - 5 requests a week during the season and I travel a fair bit for work and pleasure which is why I say no to a lot of requests. Don't feel bad if I say know, it isn't personal, just can't host all the time. Other reasons I might say know is that to me CS is about meeting people, getting to know them, learning about their life/culture etc. I find that many times people don't even take the time to read my profile, I've even had CSers that just cut and paste the same request to every host, sometimes not even changing the host name in the greeting. Can't tell you how many times I've had requests to me using the wrong name. The spirit of couch surfing is to get to know people not to just be a free p[lace to shit, shower and sleep. I haven't hosted since covid started but I think I'm ready to have guests again. It is important to me that all guests are fully vaccinated, as I have no spleen and am immune compromised. Hosting is fun but not with dying over. I have a two night minimum because one night stays are once again just a place to shit, shower, and sleep with no time to actually get to know each other. The Moab area is an incredibly powerful place with mind blowing natural features. There are literally millions of rock formations and thousands of canyons. By way of seeing if people are taking the time to actually read my profile you must include the phrase, the magical desert, in your request. I am picky about who I choose to host and just can't say yes to all the requests. If I say no, I hope you will find a great host to stay with. I look forward to hosting again as I have met some amazing people through CS. Wether I'm able to host you or not, thank you for taking the time to read this.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe the majority of the people on planet earth are good people who just want to live, love and evolve. Unfortunately often the ones in power are self serving greedy people who seek more power at the expense of others.
That being said I still have loads of hope for the world. Would love to see people let go of there primitive religious beliefs, and start believing in each other.
For me, every day above ground is a good day, and if you don't learn something new every day, you're not paying attention!
