About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learn and do.
ABOUT ME
Just a girl trying to find her way in the world by throwing herself out into it. Love adventures, exploring cities, and constantly learning new things.
PHILOSOPHY
Smile and move, but go slowly and savor. Life is shorter than we can even imagine and it's only speeding up. I want to take responsibility for my own fulfillment and accomplish things I never thought I could. (This section will be under constant construction...)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Mostly through meet-ups, coffee dates, and events. It's so exciting to know that wherever you end up in the world there will be a Couchsurfing community to plug into. So far I've met up with amazing CSers in New York City, Salamanca, Sevilla, Granada, Madrid, London, and Copenhagen.
Once I move back to the US and have my own place I want to open up my couch and organize events to begin paying forward all the kindness I've been shown.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy exposé documentaries, historical dramas, and international cinema.
I absolutely love live music... some of my most euphoric moments have been at concerts. I've been kind of lazy about exploring new bands and genres lately, but I'd be happy to meet people who can expand my musical horizon. Not sure how to describe my taste... Some of my all-time favorite bands/singers are Electric President, Jorge Drexler, Jónsi, Anberlin,The Decemberists, and Mumford and Sons.
Books have done the most to shape how I think and who I am. Most recently I've been into Murakami, Kerouac, Krakaeur, and Vonnegut.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A celebration of El Nuevo Año Aymara in the Cochabamba Valley with new friends in Bolivia
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help people practice their English and also teach Spanish grammar. I can teach basic photo composition concepts, how to count to 10 in a few languages, some simple tunes on the harmonica, basic belly dance or salsa moves, and how to ride a bike!
I would appreciate meeting people who could teach me how to do new, creative things on the computer, especially with programming and film editing. I also want to start studying a new language in earnest (haven't decided which to focus on yet, maybe German or Korean), learn how to sketch and doodle, and learn to dance well!
