About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Head down, studying hard!
ABOUT ME
Kia ora! Please note, we live at Piha beach which is at least a 45 minute drive from Auckland city. There are no buses that come out here, so transport is difficult unless you have your own car.
Please check out this website for information about transport to Piha http://www.pihabeachstay.co.nz/location/transport/
Also, if you have no-one to vouch for you, it's unlikely we will agree to host you ... so go to some couch surfer meetings in your area and meet people and start participating! : )
.... My flatmate Karen and I are both studying full-time doing post grad stuff so we are home a lot of the time studying. Please be aware that we will only be able to host people when there is not too much pressure affecting our studies : )
If we do host you, you will be sure to have a good laugh and hopefully feel comfortable and at home ... we are both pretty relaxed (apart from uni stress!! hehe)
PHILOSOPHY
This ain't no dress rehearsal baby, so live life to the fullest!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I couchsurfed around Europe and now we would love to return the favor when it's possible and welcome people to our pad at Piha!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Loved couch surfing in Europe - met some amazing people who opened their homes to us ... I loved the fact that people trusted us and wish that I can do the same for other couch surfers!
Interests
Laughing, traveling, meeting new people, eating, cooking, singing, card tricks (hehee .. ok, only a couple), goats cheese, music, especially live music ... a bit of adventure, being out and about in the country, the sea, the city, everywhere actually. Pretty much love life. And people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: We love Phoenix! Heaps of different music, but at the moment, The Middle East, Ryan Adams, Wilco, Jeff Buckley, Fleet Foxes, Joan Armatrading, Hollie Smith (NZ artist) - heaps of NZ artists actually, Fat Freddy's Drop, Kora, Dave Dobbyn etc etc. I like folk, a bit of country even, love dancing to good fun dance music, love hearing about new music and listening to different music around the world.
Movies: All time fav's are Life is Beautiful and Romeo and Juliet I think. But also have loved Half Nelson, As It Is In Heaven, The Darjeeling Limited, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Lars and the Real Girl, Once ... heaps more I am sure .... and my favourite at the moment is a New Zealand film called Boy. EPIC!
Books: Oh I wish I read more. Enjoy reading when I get the time but I'm more of a go away for a weekend and make it my mission. Otherwise if there's stuff going on, I'd rather do that : ) Last books I read were by Jodi Picoult. Sarah's into those Vampire books ... hehee
