Hello!

I'm Franco, a 36 years old born and raised in South Italy (specifically, in a city on the sea called Salerno) and currently living in Leiden, a beautiful town in the Netherlands (highly recommended for a visit, actually!). I've decided to come back to couchsurfing after many years because I always have thought that is a beautiful project, able to put you in connection with many people from all over the world.

My work and may passion is arts and culture: from one side I've managed cultural events for myself or third organizations ranging from concerts to film festivals, and from videogame events to exhibitions and book talks. Basically, everything that deals with arts & culture! But on the other side, it's also a lifelong burning passion, since I was a child: in my free time you would probably see me at a music festival, or in a movie theater or wherever there is the possibility to discover a bit of the beauty of the world :)

I strongly believe that happiness is real when it's shared, and for this reason I love to show people around and create connections; I can talk you about most of the places here in Netherlands, and show you the best and the curious things that you could see. A complete experience somehow :)

I'm a food and wine/beer enthusiast (actually I have a sommelier diploma), and I strongly believe that's part of the identity and the culture of a place, and for this reason it's another thing I like to share with people.

As an introvert, I constantly feel the struggle in social interactions, but at the same I fully believe in meaningful connections!
