One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started my adventures by cycling across my country since I was 18, since then countless of amazing experiences have been done. Those also have built the person I’m now and I’m more than grateful for that

Where to visit in Hanoi and things to do
- Hoan Kiem lake and the pagoda in the lake + Old Quarter

- Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum
- Hoa Lo Prison Relic (the night tour is interesting)
- Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (not in the center but very interesting)
- Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum + Temple of Literature (nearby each other)
- Tran Quoc Pagoda, and walk the nice street of Thanh nien in the afternoon especially sunset time, visit the area of Truc Bach lake for a stroll and coffee ( Ma Xo is a nice café there and Lang Thang is a good cheap bar)
- Train street
- Long Bien bridge and banana island, a hidden off-beat destination
- West lake (most tourists doesn’t visit this huge lake, 20km, very local, full of cafés and bars around, nice viewpoint)

Trips near Hanoi
- Ninh Binh: 1-2 nights, cycling around the rice fields, take the paddleboat tour passing the cave, and jungle-covered karsts, or trek the national park
- Ha Long: (1-2 nights on the cruise) its nice and affordable but depend on the season when you can have good weather
- Ha Giang loop: 3-4 days, (or even more, don’t rush). Rent a motorbike if you can ride or they have the tour with a driver riding with you. Drive through stunning scenery, gigantic mountains, glorious rivers, and stunning rice terraces. Ha Giang simply has it all.
- Sapa (STAY AWAY from the city center if you don’t want to be disappointed and expect an authentic experience) Stay at the homestays among ethnic people, trekking, hiking, biking on off beaten tracks. If you like adventures, you can even make it to Y Ty (100km from Sapa) or Bach Moc Luong Tu for 2 days hike in the mountain.
- Pu Luong: (1-2 nights, better not to be done during weekends bc of the possible loud karaoke from locals) for a retreat in the mountains :)
- Ba Be and Cao Bang are nice as well but I would not recommend if you don’t ride motorbike and have plenty of time.

If you have read till here. Wowwwwww, thank you, hahaa. Welcome to Hanoi and enjoy!!!
