ABOUT ME

i've always dreamed of living in Europe... and here i am! i have just completed a semester in Florence, Italy, in design and photography. Now i am living in Milan, doing an internship with San Andres Milano. I have left all of my friends behind, all by myself in an amazing flat with an italian actress thats moving to LA very soon. So hopefully i can host after she is gone =)
I am originally from Tokyo, Japan until I was 9, and my mother's side's family is all there. I still visit once a year. My home is in Honolulu, hawaii, and my father is from Maui, Hawaii. I spent the last 12 years there, and will be returning in August to continue college. I am easy going, fashion as an art form kind of person, in island girl at heart, and just loves deep conversations or going dancing and letting go. I love fashion, its been my dream to design, and i am in milan now, doing work, but sometime I want to be 21 and go out and lose myself in music and be sweaty =)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to make friend in Europe, and get to know you. as i will be returning back to Hawaii in august, I would love to host people there. I know the hot spots, i know the secret beaches, so even though i will not be a very active host in milan, I can surely return favors of friendships either in Honolulu, or Tokyo, depending on my location.

my personal favs are the arcade fire, amelie soundtrack, dark was the night compilation, electralane, yo la tengo, empire of the sun, etc. i like electro stuff like ratatat, too. i hate saying everything, because thats not true, its impossible, but it changes from time to time. the ones listed above are the pretty constant ones.

I love hearing people's life stories. and sharing mines as well. everyone is the main character of their own movie. and sometimes you learn a lot about yourself from telling someone else your story.
