PHILOSOPHY

She:Not wise enough to have my own philosophy. I Take bits and pieces of things I encounter that speak to me, that then form the lense through which I see the world. Basically - this world is an amazing place - what joy to be alive.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted 4 CS so and more to come in October. Delightful hours spent with all of them, learning about them and their countries and sharing our country with them.

Elfriede: James Rose Centre in Ridgewood NJ. I was moved to tears by the simplicity and richness of this place.
Volunteered in Construction at Paolo Soleri's Arcology Arcosanti in the high Arizona Desert. Meeting Paolo Soleri, who, at 93 is still as passionate about frugal living and changing the world as he was when he
started his Cosanti Project in the 1950s.

He: My son's birth, Chick Corea in concert, performed with Maureen Forrester, workshopped with Donny McCaslin, did a retreat with Pir Vilayat Khan, made weird sounds a the top of my lungs in the Grand Hall of the National Gallery of Canada, courted my wife.
