ABOUT ME

I've been fortunate to travel extensively with my family as a kid and travelling and/or moving to new countries continues to be an important part of my life. I got very excited when I discovered CS in my undergrad years. I was studying abroad in the US (2006) so I obviously enjoyed the freedom it gave me to move around. But also, I had the strong feeling of being part of a community of like minded people who love travelling and need the thrill in their life which comes with change, meeting inspiring people and discovering other cultures or different attitude towards life. I first felt CS only could offer access to such a wide range of people and opportunities. However, in the past few years, I have been far less involved with CS as I have developed other social networks which brought me what CS once made me discover.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been involved with the CS community where I live meeting for drinks, weekend trips, events etc. with other CS - not only surfers but also locals. That was in Oxford. I just moved to Oslo and hope to have a similar involvement here. Also, I no longer surf couches but will do some hosting for the first time - excited about that! I share a flat with two other CS and it looks like we'll be able to host from March 2012.

Let's see. i could teach French and Chess. I'm a food enthusiast so perhaps cooking. I find I've learnt a lot being around different people - no need to be taught anything specific!
