ABOUT ME

I am a sensitive but frank, social and sometimes very enthusiastic guy who likes to be around ppl, but I like to be alone a lot too. Mindfulness and growth are on my path, and I hope more of mother earth as well.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others as they like to be treated is my philosophy. Listening to the other is therefor key, but I am still learning the depths of that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I actually never gotten a hold of a couch on my travels. I travel light and on impulse, and I guess asking for a couch 1 or 2 days in advance isn't smart.
We have not had people over in our own house so far, mainly because we had to do a lot of work on it and were too lazy to think about it. We met a lot of couchsurfers that stayed at our friends tho. Strange to know about it, but now have had the pleasure to help surfers out.

meditation (sitting, lying down, walking, whatever)
cooking (love to fuse some ingredients into a meal)
travelling (on my recumbent is very laid back)
dancing (drop that shame and let go)
listening to music: everything but white boy blues, but especially classical, great new electronic music, jazz, soul, rnb, dubstep
reading (growth, philo, sf, comics)
sports (running, cycling, swimming, tennnis...everyting that's fun)
computing: Javascript / cloud architectures / new patterns and technology

"The issue at hand" is what I just read. It's free and very refreshing.
Before that I read "How yoga works". Prepare for a lot of crying when you start that one ;)
I just like many different types of books, and generally feel what I want or need, and go with suggestions of experienced readers.
Movies are a piece of art in many ways, and I truly enjoy such a movie once in a while.
Music for me is something to hear, rather than listen to. I get into a different mode of being and listening, which I take to be the understanding and processing of it, always comes after hearing the music many times. I love symphonies and harmonies, wether classical or electronical. But also the unpredictability of jazz, which invokes another way of being: not judging, take it as it comes.

I have traveled alone for the first time when I was 33 years old, and that time opened me up a lot more than I thought I was.
After that I realized I should be as open as possible to engage with whoever and whatever comes on my path.
