About Me

I am some German dude interested in pretty much everything inspiring and unknown to me!
Sometimes people tell me that I´m a little crazy and I´m convinced this is a compliment :D

I like meeting people I feel like they´re enriching me!
Enriching things can be a wide variety of pretty much everything enjoyable ;D Such as: talking trash, also talking about deeply philosophical stuff, partying going out this & that, sports (going to the gym, sometimes playing football, track and field but always opened up for different sports), music, going out for dinner, lunch, breakfast and so on and so on...

The reason I love travelling is that special feeling of getting lost and not knowing what tomorrow will bring!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is such a cool oportunity to meet authentic, fun and especially local people!
From my experience there is a huge difference between getting to meet locals and the typical hostel surroundings

Music, Movies, and Books

Music first of all! Im listening to literally ALL kinds of genres. Stuff I really like to give you an idea of my taste in music: Gramatik, Jedi Mind Tricks, Oliver Heldens, Nico Pusch, Red Hot Chili Peppers, M.I.A., Swollen Members, Linkin Park (at least Hybrid Theory & Meteora), Eminem, Chinese Man, Faithless, System of a Down, Gorillaz, Kölsch, K.I.Z., Hopsin, The Glitch Mob, Tech N9ne, Moby, Paul Kalkbrenner, Angerfist, Slipknot, Yann Tiersen, Johnny Cash, Dido, Cypress Hill, Deep Purple and so on..
Actually I like to listen to music which sounds cool to me and thats it. So if I was sitting in a cafe and they play Beethoven that might fit perfectly. In different situations very different songs might give me good feeling so I´m always happy to discover new sounds ;)

Books: Due to studying I was barely reading books in the past few years. Started reading `The forgotten ones of the Taiga´ (translated from German, guess only available in Russian, French and German), though. Absolutely fascinating true story about a family that remained in the far out siberian taiga for longer than 50 years without any supplies or connection to civilisation.

and movies: in my opininion most of the new movies are boring. Nowadays everybody cares about great visual effects, but true masterpieces mostly come from several years ago. Of course you also have nice movies coming out today, so here are some I like to watch every once in a while. First six Star Wars episodes, Lord of the Rings, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Good Will Hunting, American History X, A Fistful of Dollars, Die Hard, Forrest Gump, Full Metal Jacket, Clockwork Orange, Point Break, Heat, Hooligans, Inglorious Basterds, Knowing, Scarface, Toy Story, Truman Show, Up, Green Mile, Sixth Sense, Trainspotting, Platoon, Inception, Knowing, Silence of the Lambs, Fight Club, Super Size Me, Super High Me

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Couldn´t name one particular thing..
First thing that popped up in my mind is travelling in general. Travelling constantly gives me that crazy passionate feeling about discovering what´s next. Compared to everyday life I feel like I´m gaining life experience waaayy faster!

So here we go with my travel experience so far: One year work & travel in Australia just after school. Afterwards three months travelling in South East Asia and during University I went to Istanbul for an exchange semester

Update: Just to name a thing: From Australia I went to Asia to prove that I will coincidentally bump into people who I already knew from back in Australia.
After two weeks in Thailand it actually happened and also my friends had the same travelling plans, so we did the whole trip together

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to be a backpacking hobo and enjoy it to the fullest! :D

And I want to learn about you Canadians! I heard that Canadians are super easy going, fun, down to earth, multicultural, much into outdoor sports, heavy party people
I want prove!

What I Can Share with Hosts
