ABOUT ME

Life is full, busy, and we're always headed to some activity, and bringing back food. Our black lab/border collie mix, Cleo, thinks she's a person, and rides along with the window to the van open all summer. Softball, karate, hip hop, and everything else, never a dull moment here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We do not monetize couchsurfing through the verification process. I have give. Donations in the past.
We offer a courteous, clean and friendly smoke-free couch and libation. Families with children are welcome. We will share our kitchen and dinner with all. Animals are welcome who are well-behaved, and allow Cleo to be the alpha here. Guests are welcome for 3-5 days or so, more if needed.

Staying with our family restores your sense of trust that the world is a safe place, full of kind and generous people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We seem to get the most interesting surfers at our place. As a host, we enjoy sharing our dinner and living room for travelers passing through. Our home is full of children of all ages, so families are always welcome with us, too. Since we've been surfing as a family, I've picked up tons of new ideas on how to be a better host and am looking forward to changing up our host services! Fresh breads, jams and coffee, and tasty raspberry and nanaimo bars for all!

Interests

Eat/Sleep/Kids/Repeat, farmer's markets, live theater and music, anything outdoors with kids like parades, zoos, trails, ferry rides and museums, you name it!

I have finally learned that all good people need not all live together, but all may live in peace. Watch carefully who you are in the presence of people, and notice how you become like the people you spend time with. And in the wise words of Aesop, "no kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted."

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm very interested in how we use space, and how our environment supports our lives and goals. Feng shui offers insights into our health, relationships, and more, that can be life changing. Who knew that making simple adjustments in how we use the space around us could bring so many benefits! Providing analysis of your space is rather simple, and obvious to the trained eye. Feng shui opens a new world of exploration and insight into our success in our lives. I'm happy to give these "house" readings during my visit and address your unique questions.
