About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To spend this summer traveling, making new friends and learning as much Spanish as possible!
ABOUT ME
Hi I'm Tori, I am currently traveling but I live in Derby, UK. I enjoy spending my time in new places, taking lots of photos and planning films in my head. I write a lot too and travel because it is inspiration and it's good for the soul.

PHILOSOPHY
It's old but true:
Treat others as you want to be treated cause you'll only ever get out what you put in. Oh...and enjoy your M.F**king life cause this ain't no rehearsal.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed mostly so far, I've played host before but this was before I really knew about couch surfing properly. I play guitar, sing and dabble on the piano and find music one of the most accessible way for me to get involved. I also like to get up on the dance floor and shake that thang, ha! Does that count?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A 2 week mad dash round eastern Europe springs to mind, had some great hosts who have really shown me what is expected from a good guest. So I'm happy to share. If you've been at work and you're hosting - why don't you let me cook? If I can help out in any way let me know and I'll do my best to muck in.
Interests
Literature, art, music, theatre, philosophy, science and technology, the amazing and beautiful natural world. I often watch a lot of documentaries. Amongst my favourite topics for conversation are: Favourite films/books/music. Peoples ideas of the future, dreams and dreaming. Different philosophical bents etc. Basically I'm not much good at small talk.

Music, Movies, and Books
Ummm... this is a conversation I'd rather have in person but off the top of my head I'd say I LOVE Pixies. My favourite book is House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielowski and films? Oh God! Too hard to decide on just a few but I particularly enjoy sci-films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going to Asia was big for me. I've also directed a number of plays which have been fairly defining moments. Jumped out of a perfectly good plane once too and I'd do it again in a heart beat.
Teach, Learn, Share
One of my favourite things to do is just to get together with people and listen to music, sing a long - Music is something everyone shares. I've spent most of my life working or studying as an an artist of sorts so I'm sure I have plenty I could share and I have much yet to learn. I'm not a bad cook either.
