About Me

Hi fellow couch surfers !

I am a young french guy from Lyon. I've spend three years of my life in Paris studying political sciences . Now I'm currently in a professional film school where I learn filmmaking and editing. These studies give me great pleasure even if the schedules are kind of heavy sometimes.

I am really passionate about filmmaking. Few years ago, I began making a few short films. If you're curious, feel free to look up haha (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiYD3njIWFZZ7ahvCim1yCg ).

Later in life, I would like to make documentaries, traveling across the world with a camera recording stories from all kind of people and places.

I love to travel. The mere fact of watching the landscape unfolding from the train window is one of the most pleasurable feeling I've experienced in life.

I like to discuss many topics from food, politics to endless conversation about life and stuff. Discovering new people from different places and background definitively broadened my perspective on life and this i why i enjoy it so much!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think travelling itself is fun. I guess it also shapes who you are. And this has lot to do with the people you met along the way i believe.

This is why couchsurfing it so great because you get to share with people from all over the map and experience life like a local rather than just passing by.

It's actually one of my trip in Berlin that convinced me to do filmmaking. There, I attended a Summer workshop in FilmArche, a local film school. There, I was hosted by one of my classmate who lived and grew up in Berlin. Being friend with a local really gave a insight on the city I would never have otherwise.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm kind of a film geek so pardon for me for the long list, haha : Realité, The Piano Teacher, Persona, Aguirre the wrath of god, 2001 A space odyssey, Spring Breakers, The Master, Foxcatcher, Tokyo Story, 400 blows, Seven Samurai, Vertigo, L'humanité and many more...

As for books, I am not much a huger reader but I definitelv keep some strong memories from the few books I've read : The Stranger by Albert Camus, Crime and Punishment by Dostoievsky, The Trial by Kafka, Graps of Wrath by Steinbeck, Swan's way by Proust.

I really Huge fan of electronic music (from techno to trance/ ambient ) and hip hop (old and new) : Arthur Russell, Brian Eno, Four Tet, LIES Records, Derrick May, Omar S, Frankie Knuckles, Terry Riley, A tribe called quest, Gucci Mane, Travis Scott, Eminem, etc.

I have also a thing for world music like Omar Souleyman, Ravi Shankar , old algerian rai, gnawa music, afro-rock, asian pop oldies, turkish rock, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Haha this a tricky one...

Well I guess, passing the exam and getting into film school (it was kind of tough haha) now it might not mean much but it was a very big deal for me at the time.

I went to a kid school to teach kids how to make a film. The result itself was not tremendous but being with children, seeing how they behave one another was a very fulfilling experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I can teach you some french, share some cook recipes of my own, and maybe share some of my short life experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well if you don't mind the distance as we live in a pretty remote area from the center, me and my parents will be happy to welcome you in our home !

I have a pretty spacious screening room that also serves as a guest's bedroom.
Plus, I'll be happy to cook, bolognese gratin and caramel chicken are my specialty haha!

Algeria, Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, Tunisia, United Kingdom
