About Me

I would like to think of myself as a Volvo driving, latte sipping communist. Well - that is what I think I am. However, the program I am registered to at Queen's University thinks otherwise. After moving from one country to the next and learning multiple languages I am learning to become an oncologist.

When people ask me where I enjoyed living/studying/vacationing the most - I find it hard to answer. The seven locations below are places where I have had some memorable experiences:

1. Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia
2. Bosasso, Somalia
3. Barcelona, Spain
4. Boston, MA
5. Dubai, UAE
6. Gothenburg, Sweden
7. San Francisco, Yosemite, Joshua - California

My family is from a line of nomads that took their camels from one pasture to the next for the past 700 years. Maybe traveling is not a choice but runs in my blood. I am a nomad at heart.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I spent the free time I have eating with family and friends, dancing, and being outdoors. Meeting other nomads helps me experience vicariously the lives of others.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to happy music - doesn't matter whether it is coupe decale from west africa, blue grass, hip-hop, light rock, and electronica. My favourite bands include future islands, weezer, and lights.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Adopting a quail and teaching her to stay on my shoulder while I study. Her name is Waverley and she is my bestest.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to write few word if not your name in arabic. I am very interested in politics, social justice, equality,LGBT and questioning everyday social constructs. We can cook together and I make a great salmon dinner.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you Salsa, tell you stories of my travels or my wonderful experience living in a co-op in United states for 4 years with 30 other people.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cuba, Egypt, Germany, India, Spain, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United States
